When I Meet You in Heaven

When I meet you in heaven

You may not know who I am when I meet you.

You may not remember who I was.

You were my mother, or

You were my father.

I was a part of you both.

At the time, I was not wanted, or

My life wasn't to be.

There may have been sorrow,

There may have been relief.

I never got to be held.

I was only measured as a blip,

Maybe an inconvenience.

Then, I never saw the light of day.

I'm glad to meet you now,

Here in heaven.

So you can see who I was meant to be.

I'm very happy to meet you in heaven,

I am the child that choice made not happen,

The life that life was not granted.

The life that could not hold on.

I am very glad your choice brought you here.

This was a thought I had today, even in my life. For those who lost a child perhaps early in their pregnancy or for those that chose to end that pregnancy. Life begins at conception and abortion is NOT contraception.

What Brought About this Painting?

Yesterday (Sunday, October 31, 2021), I was working at Clearbrook Center of the Arts at Tackett's Mill in Lake Ridge, Virginia and a family came into the gallery. A family of 6, the children wandered about while we chatted with the father and the mom. What a great family! Such cheerful children, very enthusiast about art too!

They actually purchased THREE of my art prints too! Apparently one of the boys really loves sharks - they saw my mini shark fin painting and wondered if I had any other shark paintings. And I didn't until now. Had to correct that oversight.

Monday, November 1, 2021 5:46 pm - I may need to lighten up the ocean a bit...and I did. The completed painting is at the top of the post. This one was too dark.

What Brought About this Painting?

A change in wall theme did it. Therefore Google Search, hello.

"Things that are black and white" gets typed into the search bar. I'm looking for things that are obvious other than zebra, panda bears, black and white cats, dogs, horses, etc. Hmmmm, oreo cookies and milk...there's a thought. Thus a painting.
