She may find some seashells here. She would definitely catch a tan anyway.
I rather like painting seaside, beach pictures, they talk to me. Especially during lockdowns, lock outs, and cold, windy days.
"A Seashore Day"
When Just a Wall Needs a View
Pink Floyd has a wall and so do I.
This is the top of my stairs. Who wants a blank wall to look at every day? Not I. This has been a work in progress for awhile, I may add more later. The two walls have to faux "blocks" while the archway looks out at the sea with wisteria over the patio. Mountains in the background. Pardon the water bottle, it was thirsty work.
Hello, welcome to my blog. My first post...which photo of my artwork to use? Of course! What I consider my best thus far that I have a known record for anyway.
This was painted as a gift for a friend who had purchased a vacation home in Lewes, Delaware in 2016. She had purchased a canvas and was going to try to paint something herself and I asked if I could do something for her. I hadn't painted on canvas in quite awhile so here is the result.
Kinda cool when you can surprise yourself and I think I did here. I like to take a photo (or have someone give me a photo of what they would like to have, and paint it 'similarly' as much as possible (and embellish as I like too). I use acrylic paints although I have used oil some in the distant past. Maybe one day I will try oils again - we shall see.
To sell or not to sell? I've given most things I have done away to family/friends and even had a paint business (WallDreams) at one point and time. I loved painting murals on walls and trompe l'oeil and textured effects. A lot of fun. Those tend to be rather difficult to take with you when you move or do for someone.
Doing the research on how best to "set up a business to sell your artwork" hopefully locally. So yes, hope to sell some pieces. Building up some inventory now and will post them as they are finished.
Here is the painting. Your reading and comments are appreciated.
