What Brought About this Painting?

A marvelous wedding location in Berryville, VA, especially at Christmas - the historic Rosemont Manor. After last weekend being in the single digits, Thursday and Friday, December 29 for the Rehearsal Dinner and December 30 for the wedding - outside in front of the waterfall then the dinner in the "barn" was a spectacular event with temperatures in the 50-60s. This painting is a gift to the newlyweds to remember their beautiful day when they exchanged vows. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Note the tiny champagne bucket and glasses on the bottom of the stairs, on the wall in the painting above.

My aunt commissioned these 4 paintings for her 4 children (my cousins) for Christmas so this art series has been under the radar for awhile. 

For three of the cousins, they have/had 5 dogs, while one cousin didn't have any pets, so a surprise at the end for her!

What Brought About this Painting?

A visitor at the gallery discovered my artwork and asked me to paint Sophie for them, whom they lost a year ago - at Thanksgiving. Gosh, all of us that have owned pets KNOW that hole in our hearts that is left behind when we lose our furry friends. Here is a picture of Sophie below.
